How To Light a Charcoal Grill:
Make sure you start with a clean grill.....
Dump the ashes out from the previous BBQ while the ashes are cold. Do this each and every time you BBQ.
The pit should be clean before you place your new charcoal.
Stack charcoal into a pyramid in the middle of the grill. Cover charcoal with a generous amount of lighter fluid and let sit for 10 minutes to allow lighter fluid to saturate into the charcoal.
Light grill with lighter and make sure that the grill cover is open.
